Managing Director, Steve, has been in the insurance industry since leaving school in 1979. Steve joined Routen Chaplin in 1989, with 10 years of experience behind him. Today, with a thorough understanding of Routen Chaplin and the industry, he manages the day-to-day running of the business, whilst also looking after a number of business insurance clients. Steve acts with the highest levels of precision and professionalism.
Heavily involved in the community, Steve is a trustee at Treetops Hospice Care and is a member of the Finance & Income Generation committee. Likewise, Steve is a member of Long Eaton Chamber of Trade, which promotes trading in the area, involving and representing the business community on the economic development of the town. Steve also used to play for Long Eaton RFC, which Routen Chaplin now sponsor.
In his spare time, Steve likes to run and play taxi driver to his daughter. He is also a season ticketholder at Mansfield Town Football Club.

Gemma joined the Routen Chaplin team in 2018 as a Finance Manager. Her day-to-day duties vary and often consist of following the normal monthly accounts routine, with various deadlines to meet, resolving queries, staff development, premises management and planning for the future.
In her spare time, Gemma attempts to keep track of her four children and she enjoys swimming, baking and country walks with her Shih Tzu, Bumble.
