Additional risk approved within the hour

One of our existing clients is a Data Communications Engineer. He supplies and installs data communication devices, conducts site surveys and manufactures some associated products such as cables. The client holds his Employers Liability, Public & Products Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances with us.

He contacted us to advise that he had been offered a contract in the Republic of Ireland doing some valuations at a Chemical Works. Knowing that insurers often charge additional premiums for work overseas and/or for work they consider as ‘hazardous’ premises. The client was anxious about the additional premium he might be charged for this job.   

Not only did we managed to get an answer within one hour, but we also got insurers to include the additional risk free of charge, leaving the client free to accept the contract knowing that his business would still be fully insured.

The client was very happy and thanked us for our quick and efficient service.
