Meeting complex insurance requirements for B&Bs
7th August, 2018
A B&B owner came to us after struggling to find an insurer who would insure his property.
His property was split into four different individual apartments and the owner does not live there, nor does he have any staff to manage the property. The doors on the property have keypads and booked-in guests are given codes to access the property.
Mainstream insurers were shying away from providing insurance because they considered the property to be at higher risk of theft, escaping water going unnoticed for a long period of time, and malicious damage from guests.
We were able to place insurance for a competitive premium, getting insurers to understand how our client’s business operated and how the property was used.
