Can you donate any old mobile phones to raise funds for Safe and Sound?
16th December, 2019
Do you have any old mobile phones that you no longer need?
Safe and Sound is a local charity that is working towards a world where children and young people are free from sexual abuse and exploitation. Based in Derby, Safe and Sound’s work is absolutely vital - since 2002, they have been tackling child sexual exploitation and supporting victims with one-to-one support, advice and guidance.
They also deliver education and awareness to children, parents, professionals and the public to highlight the devastating impact that sexual abuse has on young people’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
The charity has an agreement with a recycling company that sees them receiving a minimum of £5 for every one phone donated (regardless of if the phone is in working condition or not).
If you have any old phones lying around - perhaps in a drawer or in storage - we would be delighted to take them and donate them to Safe and Sound on your behalf.
If you would like to get involved, please feel free to drop any phones off at our office. Safe and Sound will then collect the phones from us and they will wipe them clean before swapping them for essential funds.
